Information about how LexiCo uses cookies on our websites.
What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They are used to remember settings, improve user experience and collect statistics.
LexiCo uses cookies in accordance with Norwegian law and the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Types of cookies
We group our cookies into three categories. Only the last one requires consent:
2a. Necessary cookies
These are essential for the site to work. They are set without consent because the service cannot be delivered without them.
2b. Functional cookies
These remember your choices. They are set only when you actively pick a language, theme or currency — not by visiting alone.
2c. Statistics
We measure traffic without cookies. Page views are counted on the server, and any user or company link is stored only as a one-way hash — we use neither Google Analytics nor any other third-party tracking tool.
Third-party cookies
LexiCo sets no third-party cookies on lexico.no — none for advertising, tracking or analytics. You sign in with your own LexiCo account; sign-in via Google, Facebook or Microsoft has been removed from the site.
The only thing loaded from another server is the typefaces, and they come from Bunny Fonts in the EU precisely because that service neither sets cookies nor logs visitors. Payment takes place on Stripe's own pages — there Stripe's cookies and privacy policy apply, not ours.
Manage cookies
You can control and delete cookies through your browser settings. Note that this may affect the functionality of the website.
Consent and changes
Your consent
On your first visit to lexico.no a consent banner appears with two choices: "Accept all" and "Necessary only". If you choose "Necessary only", no statistics cookie is set — you still get full access to the site.
Necessary cookies do not require consent, as they are required for the service to work. Functional cookies are set only when you actively choose a language, theme or currency.
You can change your mind at any time. The button below resets your choice and brings the banner back.
Changes
We may update this cookie policy as needed. For significant changes, you will be notified via the consent banner on the website.
